EXPOSURES

7 March 2020

Project Merci 2.0

Project Merci 2.0 was a project to thank the frontline workers for their efforts especially when the covid pandemic first hit Singapore in late January. In this one day project, the volunteers were gathered at Hong Lin Park to pack the welfare packs for the SBS bus drivers and train operators before being dispatched into groups. We are then sent to different parts of Singapore in our own groups to distribute the welfare packs.

This was the first time Justine had ventured out of her comfort zone to volunteer and meet like-minded people. It was an unforgettable experience that made her want to take part in more of such events in the near future.

Current

Project Re:Ground

Outside of her studies, Justine also became a peer supporter in Youth Corps Singapore's Project Re: ground in March 2021, advocating for mental wellness and creating a safe space for individuals. She has assisted those who needed a listening ear at the space and onboarded the next batch of peer supporters in September 2021 as a facilitator. The programme allowed Justine to be equipped with better peer supporting skills, allowing her to be a better empathic listener and understand people's needs better.

September 2021 - January 2022

UX Design Intern (Yara International ASA)

Justine’s responsibilities as a UX intern in Yara include working and assisting various teams to conceptualize and prototype UI/UX solutions. She helped the product team define and build user journeys to represent the experience of the end-users and assisted in consolidating current UI solutions into a bigger global UI system by being part of the wider design team discussions.
